Corrections Officer

Corrections Officers are responsible for maintaining a safe, secure, and structured environment. They supervise residents, enforce facility rules, and support rehabilitation efforts through professional interaction and accountability. 

To be considered for a Corrections Officer position at Larned State Correctional Facility, applicants must meet the following baseline requirements: 

• Be at least 18 years of age 

• Possess a high school diploma or GED 

• Pass a comprehensive background check

Yes. To maintain the integrity and safety of the facility, applicants are not eligible if they have: 

• Any felony convictions 

• Any domestic battery convictions 

• Drug-related convictions within the past 5 years 

• DUI convictions within the past 24 months
